When I started this blog, I leaned heavily into the romantic boho style (see the proof here hehe!). Over time, I realized that a lot of the traditional boho elements didn’t work for me. It’s only been recently that I discovered why.
Earlier this year, I went deep into my style and what works for my body type, height, coloring, facial essences, and overall style preferences. What I found is that it’s not that boho doesn’t work for me… I was just looking for something that didn’t exist yet. For me, boho means romance. It means ruffles, softness, dainty details, and dreamy silhouettes. With Cocopiña, I feel like I’ve come full circle. It encompasses everything that I adore about my feminine style reworked into a more casual version perfect for travel and everyday life.

If there is one category that initially drew me to Cocopiña, it would have to be their feminine dresses. Their designs strike a lovely balance between romantic femininity and effortless wearability, making them perfect for everything from vacations and special occasions to everyday outings.
My favorite style overall is the Rose Midi Dress, which I own in both Pink and Light Blue. The fit is true to size, and I find myself reaching for this silhouette again and again because it feels incredibly flattering while remaining comfortable and easy to wear. The midi length works especially well for my petite frame, and the feminine design perfectly captures the romantic boho aesthetic that first attracted me to the brand. The fabric is also soooooo soft – it’s definitely one of my favorite feminine summer dresses!
A close second favorite is the newer (to me) Aria Maxi Dress. This is the one of the most romantic dresses with a style fits true to size. It immediately became one of my favorites after trying it on! The silhouette feels elegant and effortless, making it a beautiful option for vacations, spring and summer events, or simply those days when you want to feel a little extra special.
I also own the Alma Maxi Dress in both White and Pastel Pink as well as the Sicilia Maxi Dress in Sky Blue (the prettiest feminine boho dresses). Both summer dresses are beautiful styles, though I found they run approximately one size smaller compared to the newer Cocopiña pieces. The Alma is especially dreamy and romantic, though the length may be something fellow petites want to consider, as it runs a bit long on my 4’11” frame. Overall, I’ve noticed that many of Cocopiña’s newer styles seem to fit more true to size than some of their earlier designs, which has made shopping the brand even easier.

While Cocopiña is often known for their beautiful dresses, I’ve also had great experiences with their separates. One of my newest additions is the Isabella Crop Top in White, which fits true to size and pairs beautifully with skirts for a feminine, effortless look. I love having versatile pieces like this in my wardrobe because they can be styled so many different ways throughout the year, especially when it comes to vacation outfits. I want it in more colors!
One of the very first Cocopiña pieces I ever got was the Matilda Wrap Top that is unfortunately no longer available. Even though I’m a dress girlie, some of my most-worn Cocopiña pieces are actually their skirts. I love that they can be styled in countless ways and offer a slightly different look from the brand’s dresses while still maintaining that same feminine, romantic charm.
The Dahlia Midi Skirt is easily my favorite skirt style from the brand. I own it in both White and Light Blue, and the fit is true to size. The silhouette feels timeless and elegant, making it easy to dress up or down depending on the occasion. If I had to recommend just one Cocopiña skirt to try, this would probably be it. It’s definitely a must-have for creating European summer outfits!
Another longtime favorite is the Tera Maxi Skirt in White, which was one of my very first experiences Cocopiña. I opted for the petite version, and the fit was perfect. Paired with the white wrap top, it creates a beautiful matching set that feels effortlessly polished while still maintaining that relaxed boho romance. It’s definitely one of my travel wardrobe essentials since it’s so versatile!
More recently, I’ve been loving the Peony Mini Skirt, which has quickly become a new favorite. The fit is true to size, and I adore the playful silhouette. My only minor wish is that it were just slightly longer, particularly for those who prefer a bit more coverage. That said, it’s such a charming piece and adds a youthful, feminine touch to any outfit. So perfect for feminine vacation style! I hope they make this in more colors!

Does Cocopiña Run True to Size?
Based on my experience, sizing can vary slightly depending on the style and collection. I’ve found that many of Cocopiña’s older pieces tend to run about one size smaller, while several of the newer styles fit much more true to size. For example, my Rose Midi Dresses and Aria Maxi Dress fit true to size, while the Alma Maxi Dress and Sicilia Maxi Dress fit slightly smaller in my opinion. If you’re between sizes, I would recommend carefully reviewing the size chart and reading product-specific reviews whenever possible. Also, regarding sizing, they only have XS-XL at the moment (normal for a smaller brand) but I would love to see them expand sizes in the future!
Is Cocopiña Petite-Friendly?
As someone who is 4’11”, this is one of the questions I pay the most attention to when shopping online. Overall, I would say Cocopiña can be petite-friendly, though some styles work better than others. The Rose Midi Dress has been one of the most flattering lengths on my frame, while some of the maxi dresses, such as the Alma Maxi Dress, run a bit longer. The Tera Maxi Skirt (petite version) fit me beautifully so I hope they do consider making a petite version of their maxi dresses and skirts.
