Summer is in full swing, which means… more time outside (unless you live in central California where it’s been 115 degrees for a month straight hahah!!). Even then, I’ve been excitedly awaiting the day when I can transform our boring RV parking space into an outdoor oasis. While I’m not quite there yet, I’ve made some huge progress with the addition of this beautiful Chita Living patio furniture set. But is it worth it? Find out below!

Home Makeover with Chita Living

Little by little, I’ve been transforming my home into a Barbie Dreamhouse of my own making… Lizzie’s Dreamhouse haha! Over the last year or so, I’ve taken our rental and added little bits of magic where I can. From overdecorating for the holidays (I’m talking a very PINK Christmas!) and a complete living room makeover to small dashes of pink decor and vintage flea market finds, our home is finally coming together.

My favorite transformation so far has been the living room. It all started with a vintage inspired gallery wall and my cream boucle chairs from Chita Living. Soon after, I replaced our grey sectional with a matching cream boucle sofa. The result is a very chic and stylish space with a bit of mid-century modern inspo. I take so much pride in our home now and we always get compliments on the furniture from guests.

Patio Makeover

For the outdoor space, I knew that I wanted to keep the mid-century vibe with a nod to Palm Springs, one of our favorite travel destinations. Since I’ve had such a great experience with Chita Living in the past, I knew they would be perfect for this project (especially since many of their furniture pieces are inspired by MCM).

I knew I wanted patio furniture with a table and although Chita Living has a few patio furniture sets to choose from, I fell in love with this one. The shape has a very vintage look to it, the cushions are light colored and it comes with foot stools! If you aren’t keen on the brown, it also does come in grey as well.

Patio Furniture Set Assembly

It arrived in a few different boxes and although I’ve gotten furniture from Chita Living before, I wasn’t sure what to expect with the patio furniture set. Previously, my couch and chairs came already put together (which makes sense given the design). However, this patio set came in pieces and required assembly.

I’m not going to lie… it was time-consuming to put together lol! I’ve put together nearly everything in my home and this was next level. It wasn’t difficult in the slightest – there were just a lot of screws and pieces. The hardest part was getting started but once I did that, it was a breeze. It took a few hours from start to finish to complete the set (both chairs, ottomans and the table).

First Impressions of Chita Living Patio Furniture

The material is very nice on this set!! Everything feels sturdy and of high-quality. The patio furniture chairs are also super roomy!! As a petite lady, I can easily curl up with a book. And my 6’2″ husband has plenty of room to move around and get comfortable. The cushions are also really nice and fluffy. Overall, the chairs and ottomans are very comfortable to lounge in (although I do wish the back cushion was a bit more firm and fluffy). The table is also very high quality and surprisingly heavy. In fact, this entire set is fairly heavy to move around, which is a great sign in my opinion (no flimsy furniture here!).

Chita Living Furniture Review

Overall, I really love the set and think the quality, design and price point can’t be beat. I’ve had this set for over a month now and it’s held up very well to the elements, weather and outdoor kitties. It’s been easy to clean up and it looks amazing! I’ve gotten so many compliments on it. I only wish we had a pool because I can imagine just how much more beautiful it would look! I mean, can you just imagine sitting here with a delicious Shirley Temple drink?

Creating my Pink Patio

This Chita Living patio furniture set is just the beginning of my pink patio makeover. I got this Business & Pleasure striped pink outdoor umbrella earlier this year and I’ve been dying to take out for a spin. I added a pink umbrella holder for an even more romantic look and of course, I had to add some bows! These pink striped bow pillows are actually meant for the car but I thought they would look darling with the patio chairs. This pretty pink oasis is the perfect escape for a little down time 🙂

For a final touch, I’m considering decorating the table with floral arrangements from JamaliGarden. They offer the most beautiful silk flowers, planters, and vases that fit perfectly with my romantic pink patio theme.

What’s next for my Pink Patio?

While I think the transformation looks amazing (see the before and after below), there’s still a bit of work for me to do. I’d love to find a pink outdoor rug to tie everything together but I’m far too picky haha. I’d also love to add a little garden area to compliment my recently painted white patio set (still looking for some cute pink outdoor cushions!). Our backyard is quite small so utilizing this space has been a game-changer so far. In the future, I hope to not only use it as a daily retreat but to also host outdoor bbqs, tea parties and more.
