🌊 Location & Atmosphere

Located just minutes from the heart of Mendocino Village, Brewery Gulch Inn feels both secluded and convenient. The property sits on a ten-acre coastal meadow surrounded by redwoods and wildflowers, with panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean. It’s quiet, serene, and incredibly romantic—every corner feels like a breath of fresh air. The location is perfectly situated making it easy to stroll around downtown yet far enough away to feel like you’re in another world.

Although there was a lot to love about Brewery Gulch, the atmosphere was my favorite thing. It’s ultra romantic and cozy with picturesque gardens, abundant seating and unique features. It truly feels like you’re in a romantic storybook… in real-life! Since the inn has limited rooms, it made the experience as a whole feel that much more magical. It felt like my husband and I were the only people there and that this experience was just for us. <3

🛏 Cozy Rooms with Coastal Charm

If you are looking for a Mendocino bed and breakfast with ocean views, this inn is the choice for you! Every guest room at Brewery Gulch Inn features warm wood interiors, a featherbed with down comforter, and a cast-iron fireplace (my favorite part!). Most rooms also include private decks with views of the ocean or the forest, making it the dreamiest spot for coffee at sunrise. For an extra special stay, book one of the premier rooms which include soaking tubs and larger balconies—the perfect spa-like touch.

Our room was on the top floor and although we didn’t have a balcony, we 100% had the best ocean views! The room was cozy and inviting with a super comfortable bed, gorgeous fireplace and stylish furniture. I also loved that they had Le Labo toiletries! It really made the entire experience feel next level luxurious.

🍽 Gourmet Breakfast & Wine Hour

One of the things Brewery Gulch Inn is best known for is its award-winning cooked-to-order breakfast, made with local, seasonal ingredients from the Mendocino coast. From lemon ricotta pancakes to farm-fresh omelets, everything tastes homemade and lovingly curated. Every evening, the inn also hosts a complimentary Wine & Light Dinner Hour featuring local wines and delicious small plates (charcuterie, savory tarts, seasonal salads). It’s such a lovely way to unwind after a day of exploring.

The food was SO good!! Oh my goodness! I notified them of my food allergies beforehand and honestly, I’ve never felt such care from other when it comes to my food. Everything tasted fresh and homemade – it was an experience unlike anything else. For our light dinner, they prepared the most delicious salad with chicken along with tasty desserts (blueberry sorbet for me and cheesecake for my hubby). For breakfast, I had a breakfast burrito and my husband had french toast. He is still talking about the millionaire’s bacon lol!!

💆‍♀️ Spa Services & Relaxation

To make the stay even more indulgent, Brewery Gulch Inn partners with local practitioners to offer a variety of massage and spa services. You can also book private yoga sessions, sound healing, holistic bodywork and Shinshin making it one of the ultimate  spa hotels in Mendocino. Just being at the hotel itself is super relaxing but having so many different services available makes it a truly luxurious experience. It definitely has the vibe of a private wellness retreat, which I love!

And if you’re not into wellness, no worries! You can easily rejuvenate yourself with a cozy seat by the outdoor fire pit, a stroll through one of the quaint garden areas, or a good book by the fireplace. The outdoor deck is also a prime-viewing spot for sunset over the ocean. Cuddling up with my throw blanket and hubby while watching the sky change to a rainbow of colors is now a core memory of mine. It was absolutely magical!

I can truly say that I’ve never been to a place like this. This was my first time staying at a bed and breakfast inn and it was such a positive experience!! I can definitely see why they’ve won so many prestigious travel awards. Also, the staff was incredible and so helpful! They made our visit that much more special. So grateful for this experience and can’t wait to return!
