Well, today I am one year older. This past year has been a crazy mix of emotional ups and downs; so many high highs and low lows. I think that I have accomplished more in the past year than any other and I finally have a sense of direction of where I want to go in life. I have a better sense of who I am and who I want to be.
On this day, I stand at cross roads…with many avenues before me. Each full of their own opportunities and successes. I have learned to stay true to what my heart wants, even if it takes a bit longer by society’s terms. I have learned not to care what other’s think and not to do things just because it’s how it’s supposed to be. I have always been the outsider and gone against the grain and each year, I am learning more about myself.
This is a dress that I have been lusting over for many moons. When I first saw this Girly Embroidered Dress online, I was smitten! The colorful embroidery is just stunning and even more so in person. I love the design and the fit and thought it would be the perfect “birthday” dress. I didn’t want to distract from all of the colors, so I paired this Girly Embroidered Dress with neutral heeled sandals and a simple gold bangle. I topped it off with a whimsical necklace of mint jewels and chiffon. Such a great look to celebrate a big day! 🙂
