Spring is in the air – my absolute favorite time of the year! Our flowers are blooming and the sunshine is finally out… which means cool crisp mornings with a cup of tea in hand, bike riding through the neighborhood while surrounded by the sweet sound of chirping birds and the resurgence of spring fashion 🙂 Read on for the 3 spring wardrobe essentials I cant live without!
3 Spring Wardrobe Essentials I Can’t Live Without

As Miranda Priestly would say … “Florals for spring – groundbreaking.” Ha! It wouldn’t be spring without an array of floral dresses 😉 And I most certainly wear florals year round but there’s just something so magical about pulling out your spring dresses after months of sweaters, coats and dare I say… jeans lol. It puts a little more pep in my step and brings me so much joy! I’m, especially loving this gorgeous white floral dress. The print is sooo pretty and the ruffled neckline is adorable! Spring dress of my dreams <3
Trench coats are one of the biggest trends! But not just any trench coat… the modernized and re-imagined trench! And trenches are the perfect spring coat because they’re so lightweight. I’ve seen so many different designs as of late with the spectrum spanning from the oversized shift to the fit and flare. I love that there’s something available to fit everyone’s personal style. Mine tends to lean more on the classic side… think Breakfast at Tiffany’s with more frills! I just adore the retro feminine silhouette that a classic trench offers and this blush beauty fits the bill. Plus I can’t get enough of the ruffle details *swoon*
Another big trend that I will never stop wearing are, of course, gorgeous hair accessories! Barrettes, bows and headbands are particularly trendy right now and I think they really add so much to an outfit. While last year’s pearl accessories are still a hot item, you can expect to see them re-imagined for current times. Be on the look out for more spring-inspired pieces like florals and butterflies along with trendy padded headbands, glitzy bobby pins and minimalistic barrettes.
Also fun fact: I’ve been collecting hair accessories since I was in grade school! I use to have them all in my caboodle but I’ve upgraded since then (although the 90s are back sooo…. haha!) 😉 I was recently given one of my very first bows – black and white polka with a lady bug in the middle. One of these days, I’ll have to share my collection with you!
