There’s something quietly magical happening in fashion. Quick TikTok fashion trends seem to have been traded in for more intentional style. I’m calling it now – 2026 is going to be the birth of unapologetic personal style for many.
For me, personal style has always been deeply ingrained in my DNA. I’ve always known who I am and what I like, even if that was a result of some experimentation in the process. Girly fashion, feminine silhouettes and darling details are the epitome of my personal style and for 2026, I predict that this will be the essence of many others as well.
Fashion trend predictions are more fun that clear fashion trends because it allows us to dream. There is a science behind it too and for this reason, I have cause to believe that many of the fashion trend predictions that I share today will become much more than that.
2026 fashion feels like a love letter to softness. To lace and tulle. To pastel colors and delicate details. To getting dressed simply because it brings you joy. And as someone who has always believed in romanticizing everyday life, this shift feels especially close to my heart. These fashion trends are for the girly girls!
Let’s get into one of my favorite posts of the year – my 2026 fashion trend predictions!

2026 Fashion Trend Predictions: A Return to Romance, Femininity & Fairytale Dressing

Ladylike Feminine Silhouettes
One of the most exciting changes that I think we’ll see when it comes to feminine fashion trends 2026 is the return of truly feminine silhouettes. After years of boxy, masculine silhouettes, I think that we will see a return to flattering dresses that twirl, flow, and emphasize the waist for intentional femininity.
Key shapes for 2026:
- Empire waists
- A-line skirts
- Bias-cut dresses
- Softly nipped waists
- Gentle ruching
- Relaxed sleeves (puff, flutter, bishop)
- Fit-and-flare dresses
- Corset-inspired bodices (soft, wearable versions)
- Defined waists and flowing skirts
- Less boxy and masculine, more fitted and feminine

“Heirloom Feminine” Dressing
The old money aesthetic trend has been incorporated into fashion during the last few years. I see this continuing but evolving from sharply tailored and ultra minimal pieces to upscale yet lived-in silhouettes. The sharpness will become softer and while pieces still look luxe, they look handed down rather than purchased from a store. Think: pieces that feel inherited, not bought.
What this looks like:
- Vintage-inspired silhouettes
- Lace collars, pintucking, embroidery
- Soft tailoring (fitted but not tight)
- Dresses that feel “old soul” rather than trendy
Fabrics:
- Cotton voile
- Silk charmeuse
- Linen blends
- Fine wool knits
Colors:
- Blush
- Antique rose
- Cream
- Soft dove gray
- Faded florals

Soft & Elegant Coquette Style
Coquette fashion isn’t going anywhere – it’s simply evolving. In 2026, bows, lace, pearls, and rosettes feel more refined and wearable, woven naturally into everyday outfits instead of standing out as novelty pieces (although I love a good novelty piece!). A delicate bow on a cardigan. A lace-trimmed blouse tucked into a flowing skirt. Pearl details that catch the light. This version of coquette style feels romantic, polished, and quietly feminine. Coquette style 2026 feels more organic rather than trendy.
What this looks like:
- Bows, lace, rosettes, pearls will stick around but become more elevated
- Less “TikTok trend,” more timeless romance
- Delicate detailing instead of loud statements
- Feminine layering: cardigans, wrap tops, balletcore pieces

Refined & Romantic Balletcore
The balletcore fashion trend won’t disappear in 2026 – it will simply mature. Like the Coquette trend, I see Balletcore evolving into something more refined and elevated. We’ve had these trends for a while so it feels more authentically ingrained into our personal style. I see it becoming less trend-driven and more of a feminine style staple. Think: an off duty Ballet dancer or Pilates princess!
What this looks like:
- Wrap silhouettes & cardigans
- Soft ruching
- Sheer overlays
- Ballet pink knits
- Ribbon ties (subtle, not costume-y)
- Ballet flats with delicate detailing
- Soft knit dresses
- Satin skirts

Dreamy Pastel Colors Palettes
If you love soft colors like myself, I think that 2026 is absolutely our year. Fashion seems to be leaning heavily into pastel fashion trends driven by gentle, romantic hues like powder blue, ballet pink, butter yellow, cream, ivory, soft lilac, and muted rose. These shades feel calming, nostalgic, and beautifully feminine – perfect for ultra girly style!
Include shades like:
- Ballet pink
- Powder blue
- Butter yellow
- Cream and ivory
- Soft lilac
- Muted rose
- Dusty rose
- Soft mauve
- Powder blue
- Pale pistachio
- Buttercream
These colors photograph beautifully and are of course, Pinterest-friendly! That said, pastels are no longer reserved for only spring. I’ve always worn pastels year round but it seems like many are following suit. Expect to see pastels worn into summer, fall, and winter.
How they’ll be worn:
- Pastel coats
- Knit sets
- Soft monochrome outfits
- Pastels layered with neutrals (cream, taupe, gray)

Feminine Florals
I do love a good floral print and truthfully, florals are always trending some way or another. They are one of the most classic prints out there but it’s the floral print itself that evolves with each year. 2026 florals, in my opinion will be soft, romantic and muted (no harsh contrast or loud blooms).
What this looks like:
- Watercolor florals
- Faded rose prints
- Botanical illustrations
- Small-scale ditsy prints

Soft Luxury & Romantic Textures
Luxury style in 2026 feels quieter than years past. Instead of flashy logos or overly structured pieces, fashion seems to be embracing textures that feel romantic and indulgent to wear. Think: chiffon, satin, tulle, silk, velvet, organza, and of course, lace. These fabrics feel delicate, feminine, and special even in the most simple designs. This is the kind of luxury that makes getting dressed everyday feel like self-care.
What this looks like:
- Tulle, chiffon, organza
- Satin and silk finishes
- Velvet accents (especially accessories)
- Embroidery, lace trims, subtle beading

Polished Hair Accessories
Hair accessories have been trending for years now and they’ve evolved over time. Going along with the ladylike and heirloom trends, I do feel that hair accessories will follow suit. Instead of being a statement piece on their own, I think they will be intentionally styled with outfits to complete the look. I can see simpler designs being a hit but I can also see us wearing our dreamiest pieces for everyday, rather than saving them for special occasions.
What to look for:
- Headbands with pearls or crystals
- Satin and velvet bows
- Romantic barrettes
- Hair accessories as part of the outfit, not an afterthought

Fairytale Dressing for Real Life
Perhaps the most magical part of 2026 fashion is how normalized fairytale-inspired dressing will become. Dresses aren’t saved for special events anymore. They’re worn to brunch, afternoon errands, quiet walks, and coffee dates. I think we will see more “everyday princess” style or wearable “fairytale fashion.” More people want to romanticize their lives and I see this coming through in a big way when it comes to fashion.
What this looks like:
- “Modern princess” dressing becomes normalized
- Dresses for errands, lunches, and casual days (just because)
- Romantic dresses paired with flats, cardigans, or ballet shoes
- Feeling dressed for yourself, not just events
Clothing:
- Structured bodices (but still soft)
- Square and sweetheart necklines
- Long, flowing skirts
- Subtle corsetry (hidden seams, not boning)
- Soft cardigans
Details:
- Pearls
- Rosettes
- Fabric-covered buttons
- Satin bows (small, intentional)
Feminine Minimalism
Minimalism won’t disappear but I do think it will soften. Rather than harsh lines, sharp tailoring, and stark color palettes, I think we will see feminine minimalism favoring gentle neutrals, romantic fabrics, and delicate details. It’s simplicity that still feels warm, graceful, and undeniably feminine.
What this looks like:
- Clean silhouettes but with romantic fabrics
- Neutrals with softness (cream instead of white, blush instead of beige)
- Simple outfits elevated with delicate details
- Soft tailoring instead of rigid lines
Vintage-Inspired Accessories
This is one of the 2026 fashion trend predictions that I’m super excited about! Again, jewelry was leaning heavily minimal for a while but I think that romantic fashion style and heirloom dressing will come out through accessories as well. Accessories in 2026 will feel personal and nostalgic. Not only will pieces add a sense of romance and storytelling to outfits but they will feel collected, cherished, and meaningful – like something you’d find in a jewelry box rather than at a department store.
What to look for:
- Pearls
- Cameo-style jewelry
- Heart motifs
- Floral details
- Lockets
- Brooches
- Satin headbands
- Hair bows (smaller, elegant)
- Gloves (sheer or satin)
- Accessories that feel collected over time, not trendy
“Signature Dressing” Replaces Trend Chasing
Out of all of my 2026 fashion trend predictions, this is the one that I am most excited about! I saw this coming last year when the weekly TikTok trends started to die down. Truthfully, it’s exhausting and unsustainable trying to chase every new trend. However, I feel that a lot of us got to experiment with trends we gravitated toward and as a result, some of these have become part of our signature style. This is why I said that 2026 is going to be the birth of personal style for so many.
We don’t want to appease other people anymore. We just want to be happy and feel unique. Long gone are the days of “saving” our favorite pieces. Now we will actually wear them because we want to look and feel beautiful in the items that we wear. We want to prioritize the items and styles that make us feel the most like ourselves.
For example, I’ve always leaned heavily toward romantic fashion and ultra feminine outfits, even as a child. It’s ingrained deeply at a soul level for me. Over the years, I’ve experimented with color, print-mixing, textures, silhouettes, etc. Girly fashion trends from recent years like Cottagecore, Coquette, Princesscore, Regencycore, Balletcore, and even Academia have inspired me in different ways. I’ve taken elements from each along with my own inspirations from different decades, art, entertainment, and lived experiences to create my own unique style.
What this looks like:
- “my look”
- “my aesthetic”
- “my signature style”
Not:
- “what’s trending on TikTok”

Final Thoughts: The Heart of 2026 Fashion
At its core, I think that 2026 fashion trends will be all about embracing softness in how we dress and how we move through the world. It’s about choosing beauty, romance, and femininity without apology. About wearing dresses just because you love them. About letting your style feel gentle, expressive, and deeply personal. And about just showing up in the world as your authentic self. If you have a romantic style aesthetic like myself, I think this is going to be our year <3
