The Tweed Set You Need in Your Closet

tweed set

I’m happy to say that fall has finally arrived in California. Long gone are the 110 degree days as they’ve been replaced with crisp, cool weather and beautiful fall colors. My winter coat collection has seen the light of day once more and my tweed obsession is at an all time high (see the proof here)…especially when it comes to this pretty little tweed set.

Outfit Details

Cece Tweed Jacket c/o | Cece Tweed Skirt c/o | Cece Bow Blouse c/o (sold out – love this one! | Seychelles Bow Boots c/o (similar here and here, budget option)| LC Lauren Conrad Handbag (old – love here and here) | Asos Beret (old – identical here) | Berkshire Legs Tights c/o | Chanel Brooch (similar here) | YSL Lipstick c/o

To say that I’m obsessed would be an understatement. This is the very first tweed set I’ve owned and it definitely did not disappoint…in fact, I’m wondering why I didn’t jump on it earlier?! I love that this one shows some edge with the Moto jacket design instead of a typical blazer. It’s strays just enough from my frilly, feminine side without going too far haha. And the sparkle! The photos do not do this justice! It has so many amazing colors in the tweed so it can easily be paired with most everything and it has gorgeous sparkly thread delicately woven throughout to create a subtle and sophisticated sheen. I’m not really a fan of 90s fashion but I do love the clueless vibes that this tweed set gives off 😉

As for fit, I would personally size up. Tweed is a tough fabric anyway because it doesn’t stretch. I ordered my normal size 2 in the jacket and although it fit, I think a 4 would have been more roomy in the arms. I also got a 4 in the skirt, which is my normal bottom size, and I ended up making a few minor alterations to get it to fit perfectly (pear shaped figure problems haha!).

For styling, I ended up going with a cute ruffled pink blouse with a bow detail along with a beret, bow boots and small saddle bag but really, there are endless ways to style this – as a set and as separates.

Style this tweed set with:

  • A black turtleneck and over the knee boots
  • A silky blouse and nude pumps
  • A slouchy tee and white sneakers

Style the jacket with:

  • A button up blouse and dark jeans
  • A relaxed tee and ripped jeans
  • A swingy shift dress and ankle boots

Style the skirt with:

  • An oversized sweater and over the knee boots
  • A chunky knit and white sneakers
  • A ruffle blouse with a neutral coat layered on top

How would you style this adorable tweed set?
