Good morning, lovelies!
I hope you are enjoying your week so far! Life has been incredibly hectic since I returned so I apologize for my posting schedule being all over the place. I’ll save all of that for another day 😉 But today, I wanted to share with you my experience with Rent the Runway unlimited.
Rent The Runway Unlimited Outfit Details
Kate Spade Dress (currently on sale with an additional 30% off!) via Rent the Runway (get 40% off your first month with LIZZIEPERK40) c/o | Whitby Handbag c/o | Bernardo Heels c/o | Kate Spade Watch c/o | BaubleBar Necklace c/o (sold out – similar here) | Rocksbox Ring (try it for free for a month with lizzieinlacexoxo)
Prior to this, I had never used Rent the Runway as I just dubbed it a place to rent special occasion dresses. I was thrilled to see that they also had ready-to-wear items that were perfect for work and play! I signed up for the unlimited membership where I was allowed four items at a time and had the ability to change them out throughout the month. Choosing my items was a bit overwhelming at first since there are so many amazing brands to choose from, but I eventually narrowed it down and the checkout process was a breeze. I received my items within a couple of days, which was much faster than I anticipated.
Upon inspection of my items, I had found a defect in one of them. I notified customer service immediately and they were quick to respond offering me a replacement of the same dress or any other item of my choice had it been out of stock in my size. They shipped it within a few hours and even included an additional item for the inconvenience.
Originally, I had just planned to order the items to shoot content, but I ended up actually wearing them in the process! I wore the Draper James dress (seen in this post) to my aunt’s surprise birthday party and got so many compliments! She and my uncle live in Greece and came out to visit for a few days so it was definitely photographed a lot 😉 I also wore a gorgeous pink shift Kate Spade dress (seen in this post) to my guitar student’s high school musical and to work a couple of times (it was my favorite of the bunch). I also picked two more gorgeous dresses for shooting purposes. All of the items fit great and were in excellent condition!
I sent them back and chose four more for my vacation. The only issue I had was that you have to wait until the items arrive back at the warehouse for your second order to be shipped out. It makes sense, but just keep this in mind if you have events coming up. I think it took around 4 or 5 days for me to receive my second order after I shipped back my first one and it arrived the day before I left for Hawaii.
For the second shipment from Rent the Runway Unlimited, I chose four more dresses. While my first order was more dressy and work appropriate, I decided to go more casual for this one. While all of the items were in perfect condition, two of the dresses were unfortunately too short (and I’m only 4’11”). I took them with me anyway to use as swimsuit cover ups but ended up not wearing them as I just didn’t feel comfortable with the length. The third dress was my absolute favorite and I almost don’t want to send it back haha! I wore it twice on vacation (once for a day of shopping and once for dinner – you can see a sneak peek of it here). This Kate Spade number was another favorite and I used it for shooting and work as it was a bit too constricting for the humidity 😉
Overall, I had a great experience with Rent The Runway Unlimited! Other than the defective dress, items were in excellent condition and shipping was very quick. Customer service was super responsive and helpful in answering my questions and requests. I think that this membership would be great for anyone that wants to change up their look without sacrificing room in their closet or spending crazy amounts of money. They have a lot of things that would be great for work, weekend, parties and vacation. Personally, I would use this service for work or special occasions like brands events or fashion week rather than everyday clothing since the items are higher end, but it really is specific to each person’s life.
