Happy Labor Day!
Yay for everyone not working today! Well, except me…I still teach guitar, but it’s okay because it’s my “fun” job that really doesn’t feel like a job. I get paid to play guitar with people…how cool is that? No complaints there! My hubby is off for the day too so we are spending the rest of the day together, which is so nice because weekdays are always so busy for both of us. He refuses to assist me with my DIY projects, so I’ll have to think of something else fun to do ha! Men.
Speaking of holidays, time off and freedom…..the weather is changing and while I am immensely excited for fall weather, I am also holding on to what little bit of summer I have left. Summers full of reading magazines pool side while sipping on my lemon water…summers full of road trips to see family, friends or just to go somewhere with out a plan….summers with cool nights, hot days and a lapse in time that seems to dissipate all of your outside thoughts. Weather-wise, summer is a long way from over here in California, but the idea of summer is disappearing before my eyes as work starts back up and reality sets in.
This dress reminds me of those care-free summer days and I plan to wear all of my sundresses before the sun hibernates for a few months. This one in particular is beautiful, fun and feminine. I am such a fan of floral prints and I think that this one is my very favorite. The cut is perfect, flattering, and twirls like a dream. It seems to come alive when paired with a camel bag, cream shoes and a sparkly neckpiece. Even through all the bright colors and crazy patterns, I feel most like me in a pretty dress and neutral colors. Creams, pinks and oatmeal colors are the way to my heart…but life wouldn’t be as fun if I wore them everyday, right? Haha! 😉
Hope you all have a lovely holiday!
