I hope you all had a wonderful 4th of July weekend! Ours was pretty low key, but we did end spending the evening with my immediate family eating way too much food and watching everyone else's illegal fireworks. :-) I'm sure many of you can attest to that haha!
So about my outfit....I've always been a matchy-matchy kind of person. I like things to be aesthetically pleasing to the eye and "go together." Which leads me to an interview I had with Forever21 when I was younger. I put together a few outfits for them and they said "You don't think they are too matchy-matchy?" I took one look at the outfits, looked back at my interviewers, smiled and said "No." I didn't get hired. So I went through this phase where I would purposely try not to match things, but it never worked out. I went back to my old ways and have never turned back....and you know, people always compliment my matching outfits so there! :-) I don't know about you, but I like the fact that I don't look like a clone of every other girl out there. What I once took as an insult has now fueled my desire to style a little more creatively and remain true to myself and what I like.
This particular piece looks like a dress, but it 's actually separates! I love that I can pair the skirt with a different top and the top with jeans or another skirt...or I can just pair them together, untucked or tucked, like I did here. The print is just gorgeous! I had perfectly matching shoes (there I go again!) to bring out the coral in the separates. I adorned my neck with sparkling jewels and completed the look with my light grey bag.
Hope you all have a lovely day! <3
