So... tomorrow is the first month anniversary of my blog! Such an exciting time. Starting this blog has been on my mind for the past few years. I have been planning through the process for such a long time, so it was a big deal to me when my thoughts became a reality. This first month has been a lot of hard work. Finding time to photograph, edit photos, write posts, network and market my new venture has been difficult while working 60 hours a week at my two jobs, but not impossible. While it seems like a lot to have on one persons plate, the great love I have for fashion and for inspiring others far outweighs the difficulties. This new adventure has brought so much joy to my once creatively deprived mind. In the past month, I have made so many new friends from a community built to inspire and support one another, which is so important. I am looking forward to building deep relationships and making new ones. So many things have happened in such a short amount of time that reassure me that I am going in the right direction. Whether it stays as a hobby or grows into a business, I am along for the ride and more than excited for the future. Thank you so much to all of my readers for your support in my passion. I appreciate it more than you know. :-)
Now to the outfit: We decided to take the shoot downtown this time, for a change of scenery. This is one of my favorite dresses. Shirtdress are huge right now and I love the fun print on this one. The material is a flowy silk chiffon with a purple and navy houndstooth print. I think that purple and gold are gorgeous together so naturally I paired it with gold accessories. The shoes match so perfectly and are the most beautiful color. The purse is by far one of my favorite accessories of all time. It's beyond gorgeous and pairs well with nearly anything, elevating even a simple t-shirt and jeans into a high end outfit. I have worn this dress a few times to work and it's always a big hit with the students. It's a fun piece that makes me feel beautiful (which is so important!) that is also work appropriate. Win-win! Hope you like it!
